United in Blue A Food Drive Challenge – Seattle vs Denver Brought to you by the people of the United Methodist Church

Hey Seattle Seahawk Fans- let’s beat Denver on and off the field!

The United Methodist Churches in Seattle/Washington challenged our colleagues in Denver/Colorado to a Food Drive.

The contest is to see which churches can collect the most non-perishable food items between now and the Big Game on Sunday February 2nd.

Stop by any of the participating churches to drop off your donations. Suggestions include: soups, canned vegetables, peanut butter, canned meat, rice, dried beans… You get the idea.

We have until 11:59 on Sunday February 2, 2014 to help feed more hungry people than Denver can- showing that we are #UnitedInBlue on and off the field.

Donate Button

Monetary donations made online will go to purchase food and donations for Northwest Harvest which distributes to 300 food organizations across Washington State. Donated items will go to participating church’s Food Bank/Organization of choice.

Join the conversation and online rally in support of our Seahawks and Seattle on Facebook!

We are in no way affiliated with the NFL or the participating Super Bowl teams. We would however gladly welcome their donations if they chose to do so :)

  1. Hi there – any word on press coverage? I’d sure like to put a link up on our church FB page showing an interview or snippet about the United in Blue team!

  2. Hey, we already have a food bank. Can items donated already to us and forward count? Just wondering.

  3. We can donate cash through the churches too? Or is it preferred to go through this central PayPal donation?

  4. Have you tallied the results? Total amount of food donated. How much per city? Our local newspaper is interested in doing a story. Thanks!
